About the Tokyo Open

The 1st Tokyo Open was held in 1999, started as a WDSF sanctioned ranking point competition.  Since then, every year in spring, competitor couples come from far and wide to meet in Tokyo, compete and win with their beautiful performances.  You will be amazed to watch the highest level of dancing unfold before your eyes. 

Categories of The 20th Tokyo Open are;

■WDSF PD Super Grand Prix Standard

■WDSF World Open Standard

■WDSF International Open Latin

■JDSF U-23 Standard/U-23 Latin

The Grand Ceremony features a special show performed by the elite dancers who came through auditions. 

And you will be thrilled to watch a different type of dancing, which is named "Breaking." 

Breaking was adopted as an official medal sport in the Youth Olympic Games next year in Argentina.

The world-class Japanese Breaking dancers, who will represent Japan for the Youth Olympic Games, perform for you and impress you..
